USS.EYE is the monitoring system every installation is built on. Ulark5 is what it looks like when that platform is productised for one demanding domain: vehicle inspection.

One platform behind every installation: it receives and processes data from sensors, measurement devices and control equipment, archives the result, hands it on to other systems, and controls the connected equipment centrally — without depending on the manufacturer or type of that equipment.

Ulark5 · PTI line control device

One device in place of five consoles.

An industrial device built on the PTI Business subsystem. It collects inspection data during the procedure and stores it centrally, while driving the measurement equipment on the line — regardless of who manufactured it.

Principle of use

How an inspection actually runs.

The same chain as every other USS system, instantiated for one domain: registration, queue, measurement, visual inspection, central record.

  1. 01

    Registration

    The vehicle is registered at the entry lane, at reception or through online booking. If it has been inspected before, the registration number is enough.

  2. 02

    Queue

    Registration generates the queuing list, and the vehicle is selected from it when a position becomes free.

  3. 03

    Measurement

    Results from the electronic test equipment are sent automatically to the handheld unit over Bluetooth, and the same unit controls that equipment.

  4. 04

    Visual inspection

    Visual inspection points are entered on the handheld, following the inspection guide shown on it.

  5. 05

    Central record

    Data is transferred continuously to the test line PC, from where the report can be printed and the record archived centrally.

The measurement layer.

DVS combines the measuring tools on the line into a single controllable set, and can be changed quickly when equipment is swapped or requirements are updated.
